When shipping items, we look at two things to determine the chargeable weight:

Here is a step-by-step guide to calculate the volumetric weight of your item:

Measure the parcel
Measure the length, width, and height of your parcel in centimetres (cm), ensuring you include the outer shipping packaging. Always measure from the widest points of each side to account for any bulges, irregular shapes, or protruding parts.
Apply the formula
The formula for calculating volumetric weight is:
(Length cm × Width cm × Height cm) ÷ 4000
Calculate
The result equals the volumetric weight in kilograms (kg).

Here's an example:
Assume your parcel has the following dimensions:
(40 cm × 30 cm × 20 cm) ÷ 4000 = 6 kg

Even if the item is only 3 kg in actual weight, because the volumetric weight (6 kg) is greater than the actual weight (3 kg), the chargeable weight for this shipment will be 6 kg.
